Peas au Gratin

An incredibly easy potato dish that is tasty and filling as a main course or side dish. This is the simplest version I came up with to get the kids to eat it. But you can substitute a stronger cheese, add more veggies or meat to make it heartier.

Step: 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Step: 2

In a mixing bowl, stir together eggs, thyme, garlic powder, cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir in cream and peas, and pour into a small round baking dish. Arrange potatoes on top of the mixture, drizzle with olive oil, and dot with cubed butter.

Step: 3

Bake, uncovered, in preheated oven for 1 hour.

The most clear way to choose a side dish is to look at your main dish (pasta, chicken, seared tofu) and choose something different. When you’re cooking pasta, make sure for a simple vegetable . Making steak? Go for more light. If you’re making stir-fry with rice, it must not a good idea to adjust with make a rice salad.
