This was given to me by a friend years ago. I have since tweaked it to my liking and think you will like it also. I have eaten it many times with fried tilapia. I call them Hawaiian hush puppies because that’s what they remind me of with the pineapples and slight sweetness.

One of most obvious way to pick a side dish is to look at your main dish (pasta, chicken, seared tofu) and pick more different. If you’re making pasta, go for a simple vegetable . Making steak? Go for more light. If you’re making stir-fry with rice, it must not a best idea to also make a rice salad.
One make sure is also can apply to cooking process . You don’t want to overcommit your oven by making to do list three dishes at once in there, or be juggling four pans on the cooking items . But often you can made a dish do double-duty .
