Ham Sauce

I got this recipe from a friend and my family loves it. Someone always asks to have a little ham with their sauce so now I can’t make a ham without it.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar, mustard powder and flour. Mix in egg yolks until smooth. Heat half and half in the top half of a double boiler, or in a metal bowl over a pan of simmering water until just short of boiling. Stir in the egg yolk and sugar mixture, and then stir in the vinegar. Continue to stir over simmering water until thickened, about 5 minutes.

The most obvious way to choose a side dish is to look at your main dish (pasta, chicken, seared tofu) and choose something different. If you’re making pasta, make sure for a simple vegetable . Making steak? Go for more light. If you’re want to cooking stir-fry with rice, it must not a good idea to adjust with make a rice salad.

This also can make to cooking process . You don’t want to overcommit your oven by scheduling three dishes at once in there, or be rounding four pans on the cooking items . But often you can made a dish do double-duty .
