I inherited this recipe from my Mom. It is assigned to me every year along with the relish tray. I am no great cook, so you can be sure it’s very easy. It’s so great, it’s the only cranberry dish we serve!
Step: 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step: 2
Place cranberries in a small, shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with sugar.
Step: 3
Cover cranberries with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven approximately 35 minutes. Remove from heat, sprinkle with walnuts and recover. Continue baking 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
Step: 4
Stir marmalade and lemon juice into cranberry mixture. Cool to room temperature. Transfer to sterile containers, cover and chill in the refrigerator at least 3 hours before serving.
Per Serving: 48 calories; protein 0.4g; carbohydrates 9.1g; fat 1.4g; sodium 3.6mg.
The most clear way to choose a side dish is to caught at your main dish (pasta, chicken, seared tofu) and choose more different. When you’re cooking pasta, make sure for a simple vegetable . Made steak? Go for more light. If you’re want to cooking stir-fry with rice, it must not a good idea to also make a rice salad.
This also can apply to cooking method . You don’t want to overcommit your oven by making to do list three dishes at once in there, or be rounding four pans on the cooking items . But sometimes you can make a dish do double-duty .
